• In my childhood of age 12, I uaually read “Punch of the Wain” and “Super Marry” or went by bike to see the small shrimps in a ditch with my neighbour after school. Though there was so much careless playing time, I was very reluctant to have lessons. At Shenchienhung’s age 12, he was always practicing dance , giving interviews in TV program or performing on stages. Besides this time, he was reviewing his performance just now. He had a full schedule everyday. However, he was still longing to go to school. Because he hoped to have a childhood as others’. But he had no……

This was I said to the reporter when I went to Osaka for a promotion with Shenchienhung two years ago. At that time we performed on the stage of a shopping mall. There were two pictures in my head. One was his childhood and the other was mine. As I told this to the reporter, Shenchienhung said with a smile:”don’t say this any more.” I turned to look at him, found his smile strained. Tears has been in his eyes. It made my heart ache. He could have played everyday as other childen, but he chose to give up this, sacrificed his happy childhood for the sake of paying his sister’s education abroad and helping maintain his family.

I remembered that we who from Dorian went to Hongkong. We dispersed to roam about the streets. Then I took little Chienhung to wander. He who was small build followed beside me, being curious about everything on the streets. Many shop assistants said that he looked like me and he was so shy so sweet.

I went with him to Malaysia for a charitable performance. At rehearsal I saw him dancing diligently on the stage. He worked hard to do his job well. I was deeply moved. At the same time I felt pity for him. He stepped into society ten years earlier than other people, recieved the pressure even adults couldn’t bear. Every time I met him, I asked if he has been to play basketball? For I knew he liked playing basketball. I hoped he could answer me that he had went to play basketball and had fun with his friends. though so many times asked, I always got the same “I have no time…..”

When we were interviewed in Malaysia, the reporter gave him a question paper about me. They wanted to know how much he knew me. One question is “who is Peter’s idol”. Just for fun, he replied ”Peter’s idol is me”. All of us couldn’t help laughing. He isn’t my idol, but I love him and regard him very much. I believe he will be a idol of many many people. From him, a lot of people will learn what is sense of duty and strong will .
