Peter's diary on APR.28, 2006

I came to see your messages last night and was deeply touched. All of you went out of the way to research my painting. I found everyone of you so innovative. Some of The feeling and stories you told maybe are different from my original intention. But I was still moved by them. Perhaps this is the charm of art. I think what makes art special is it can bring different feeling to different people. Everyone has his own life experiences and feels his own vicarious excitement from the same painting. I have felt your care fully and recorded some of your messages as my private collection. Thanks!
Now let me talk about my feeling as drawing this picture.

You must have noticed that my song “what are you to do without me” had been replaced by the song“accompany me to see the blue sea”. it was Jussica who changed it for me. It reminded me of what had happened a long time ago. I was sent to Canada for education at the age of 13. I couldn’t adapt to the situation there and became unsociable. I began to make money like crazy for the purpose of buying plane ticket to meet my friends in Taiwan. When I was fifteen, my closest friend gave me a tape. I didn’t listen to the tape untill I was on the plane from Taiwan to Canada. Then I was in deep sorrow because I had to leave my friends supporting me in those days. On the plane taking me to the hell, I brought out my walkman and pressed the “play”button. The song I heard was so warm. Though I couldn’t understand Japanese , I felt it was passing the warmth from my friends to me, telling me to be strong and face the days in Canada bravely. Watching the plane taking off, listening to the warm song, tears ran down my face.

During the following days in Canada, this song always remained with me. I used to climb out of the window, sit on the roof of the garage. It was a remote place I lived in. There was almost no cars passing by. It was so quiet that there was only me and this song and the images of my friends rising before me. I kept on thinking of the happy days spent with them. I imagined if they had forgotten me as I was missing them. It snowed occasionally when I was on the roof. It seemed so fantastic as if I was in a fairy tale. It made me think of “the little match girl”. Would the people still remember her after she was gone and became an Angel? So I worked harder in order to make money for plane ticket soon and return to Taiwan before I was forgotten.

Thus another year has gone by. I finally earned enough money and returned to Taiwan in excitement. When the plane landed in Taiwan, my tears shed once again. But this time it was tears of excitement, delight, joy and happiness. One year later I finally met my friends and went out to play together. There were some new faces among them. They were talking about new topics . I realized I have been a new member. After all, during the last year their life were going ahead. They made new friends and did many new things together. But I still lived in the past summer holiday, in my recollection. They had an entirely new memory of a whole year. I haven’t gone ahead with them.

In order to meet with them I made a great effort for one year. But when I met them, I found I’ve been taken place by others in their hearts. I felt so disappointed. All the things changed. It was no longer like the time of last summer holiday. So I had to meet a “new” group of friends and made new memory with them. Then, before I flied back to Canada, I was still very sad. However, my mood was a little complexer than last time. At that time there was expectancy of meeting next year besides sadness. This time there was no expectancy but sadness. I knew I couldn’t have any expectancy. For everything will change after a year.

Once again, I pluged the earphone in and pressed the “play” button. Listening to the warm Japanese song, I recollected that summer holiday. I could only press the button “play” or “forward” . For me, there was no “review” button. Because I couldn’t return to the past any longer. I had a pair of wings longing for flying, but they were chained. I found no way to fly back to my friends. I could only sit on the roof listening to the warmth they ever brought to me and thought of “will I be remembered....”

This song kept me company through a long lonely time in Canada. As soon as I was able to launch my first album, I told the record company that I must sing cover of it. It became the song “say goodbye to sorrow” in my blog “safe area”. I hope my singing will give you warmth just as it ever did in my harsh time.

I can feel Peter's loneliness during his study in Canada when reading this diary.
He's such a sentimental guy.

He sings with his heart.... and of course, his songs warms our heart.
Just as Yessy said to me that Peter's voice is suitable with sad songs.

yes, I agree with your opinion his voice is suitable with sad songs like "Galaxy Wanderer". Under his sunshine smile face there is such a sensitive heart.

Very sad!!! A couple years a go, I have the same experience. I can understand how disapointed, angry and very sad Peter in that moment, cause that the way I face it in that moment. Well, world changed...We can't do anything about it. Just fly with the changes, and we'll laugh about it when we in fifty...

I never heard the song “say goodbye to sorrow”...maybe someone have the link so I can hear it?

So far, I have heard it when opening P's official site www.ohohhoho.com, but I just hear the opening tune only, so I never listen to P's voice.

Peter's voice is a little bit different... than his present voice.

yessy, I try to explain... perhaps, others can help also.

I think "the painting" mentioned by Peter is his sketch on "Angel with Chained Wings". He then shared with fans about his feelings when drawing the sketch.

Peter read the messages written by fans in his blog, and felt touched that his fans are so caring to him (including us ^ _^, rite?). He'll keep those fan messages in his mind (as a private collection). How nice Peter is....!!
